The 2010 International Haari Boat Festival will be held at the Wailoa State Park and river in Hilo, Hawai`i on August 20 - 21, 2010.
Friday, August 20, is reserved for team practice with the boats, but many other activities in Hilo are planned for later in the afternoon, including the kick-off of the 2010 Friendship Golf Tournament.
The official Haari Boat Races are scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Teams in three divisions compete for speed and cooperative skill in rowing the boats in tandem, to the beat of a gong at the rear of the boat. Prizes are awarded in each division.
Following the award ceremony, an AFTER Race Party and entertainment will be held until 6:30 pm.
